We welcome all patients, however, please note that you must provide us with a valid referral if you wish to make a claim with Medicare.
It is recommended that you discuss the issue with your family doctor when obtaining a referral.

Before you attend
After making an appointment, an information letter will be mailed out to you. Please read this carefully and fill in the registration form provided.
A skin prick test will most likely be performed during your first consultation (not available for suspected insect allergies). Please avoid taking any antihistamine tablets for at least 2 days before your appointment as they may affect with the skin prick test results.
However, if your symptoms worsen on stopping antihistamine tablets, please continue to take them and we can discuss the use of blood tests rather than skin tests to help investigate your suspected allergies on the day.
However please do NOT stop any other medications you have been prescribed to take.
On the day of your appointment
Please bring with you
· Referral letter – with current list of medications, relevant investigations and results.
· Completed registration form
· Medicare card
· Payment via CARD only (EFTPOS, Visa or MasterCard)
A skin prick test is normally performed on the day depending on the reason for your visit. Please discuss with us in advance if you have any queries about this.
Specialised testing such as drug allergy testing and patch testing will require further arrangements and cannot be performed at the initial consultation. The procedure and fee estimates for these tests can be discussed on the day.
Full payment is required on the day. We can send your claim to Medicare on your behalf, if you have registered your bank details with Medicare, the rebate will be deposited into your account within 48 hours. If you have not registered, Medicare will send you a cheque and this may take up to 2 weeks. Alternatively, you may take the receipt to a Medicare office in person.
After your appointment
A report of your attendance and copy of all results will be forwarded to your referral doctor.
Further appointments can be made on the day if you wish to discuss your results, undergo treatment or have further testing performed.
